Thermacell proved its technology with its first iteration of butane-fueled, cartridge-powered insect-repelling devices aimed at campers and hunters. The brand leaned on Motiv to make the product more user friendly and aesthetically irresistible while adding rechargeable, battery-powered options to the lineup. The result is a range of devices that are intuitive to use, patio-décor-worthy and brilliantly effective at making insects scarce.
WE’VE GOT THE POWER
Motiv collaborated with Thermacell to redesign their butane-powered devices to run on rechargeable batteries. This meant greater flexibility for travel and the new opportunity to add things that only electricity can add. A simple press to start and stop, LED indicator lights, and audible tones propelled the device to a new level of functionality. Parts mate together with magnets to eliminate clips and clicks. A series of hidden chimneys channels air through the device. Best of all, it now features a cartridge that keeps mosquitos away for up to 40 hours. Welcome back to your backyard.
