Bill Sterling
Principal
A founding partner of Motiv, Bill serves multiple roles as chief creative director, managing client relationships and overseeing the firm’s operations.
He has spent more than 30 years in the design field working on both the client and consultant sides. He has a significant cross-functional background in the design disciplines and management, with particular emphasis on building brands from creating the initial brand strategy to tactical implementation. Bill is especially successful at working with clients in the planning, positioning, design and launching of new brands and products. Through his extensive career, he has designed and managed brand programs for companies ranging from national corporations such as Keurig, Delta Faucet, New Balance, Panasonic, Playtex, Fidelity Investments, and R.R. Donnelley Financial to smaller ventures such as Southworth Paper, Davio’s, Zoots, and The Telluride Foundation.
Bill is a Bachelor of Fine Art graduate from Temple University’s Tyler School of Art. He is a member of the Boston chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA).
